Experence with barefoot mounting for run from 2 to 5 hours long

Hi All

Please advise on the specifics on best barefoot mounting options. I have done 5 run so far ranging from 20 to 40km barefoot using some string to tie the cradle at the heel. Have some kinesio tape but short of bandaging my ankles, cannot seem to get a thin strip to stick more than 7kms.

I tried to reinforce thiis by using an old calf sleeve as an ankle strap, but while this works with luck, I am not sure if it pulls the pod a bit higher up the achilles than on a normal shoe location.

I also noticed in the shoe heel mount videos that clip is angled toward the shoe which means there is some looseness at the ther end to allow pod vibration. If I use some string I tend to tie a piece from the top of the cradle around the ankle bone and foot and another string at the bottom of the cradle. Is this right or is this restricting the play at the bottom of the cradle too much.

Any advise on kinesio tape. Should I tape it to the cradle only or over the pod and how tight etc....

Basically what gives the most accuracy. I suspect that using a calf sleeve and string slightly higher on the achilles, gives a lower pronation angle and velocity. Is this correct. What is the ideal height? Sorry for all the questions, really want to put it on and forget about it for 4 hours.

Regards
