It's very easy to accidently delete shoes - you just press a small button and it's gone.
Would be useful to ask confirmation dialog to confirm this action.

Brian Hazard We also need a confirmation to delete a run. I clicked on my avatar under "ADD TO myRuns" on the Runs page, and it deleted the run!

Clicking on your avatar under add to myRuns actually doesn't delete the run. What most likely happened there is you unassociated that run with your profile. You can re-associate this run by navigating to the 'all runs' view within the my runs page. Click on the empty circle should add this run back into the runs that belong to your unique profile. The only true way to delete a run, would be to click the trash can icon :)
