So I have a motion detection security system that records a constant 2 minutes of data (it just keeps rolling over the old data so that it doesn't take up a lot of space). When it finally does track motion it can then save off that 2 minutes before hand, and then also begin recording from that point. I was wondering if the RS would be capable of doing this as well - then it can get a great deal more accurate with start/stop times as well as saving space overall on runs (since a user can set it to being less sensitive, but still get the start of their runs).

Tim Clark Hi Shane -- I've been thinking about this in the context of a number of changes I'd like to propose in/around the Auto Start/Stop. I'll try to post a SURVEY (of sorts) in the forum in the next day or so to solicit feedback on some of my ideas. Auto anything just has so many trade-offs -- what has worked for us in our testing is clearly NOT working for most people.

Shane Pearson So looking at the data for my first run (yay Android app!) it looks like it missed the first couple of steps. For a 10k this isn't too big of a deal, but I also run track and field - and those first couple of steps out of the blocks are a good part of why I wanted the RS in the first place!
Any thoughts?
