The distance is incorrect after each run. I do adjust the distance after each run but next run the distance is again incorrect.

John Litschert Hello SV,
Can you give me an idea as to how far off the distance is? Is it a consistent amount or always different. Thanks

Alan Grose John, I regularly see this too. Sometimes left reports a greater distance, sometimes right.
I've been adjusting it on the dashboard, however I didn't change Apr 23 which still shows the offset.

John Litschert Hi Alan,
I just looked at your April 23 runs and even though the times are similar (13 sec difference) the # of footsteps are quite different between the 2 files. I would not expect them to be exactly the same but probably a little closer than what yours are showing so I think that is part of the problem. I looked through your other files and it looks like they also have some relatively large differences in the # of found foot steps and some large differences in overall time. This makes me think that they are starting to record at different times (in some cases) or one is missing more foot strikes or toe offs than the other. Both of these things will adversely affect the calibration factor and this will then propagate through later runs. This system clearly has some flaws and we are working to change it for future releases. In the short term we will probably introduce a way to eliminate the existing cal factor and allow users to essentially start over and generate a better factor. In the long term we are coming up with a better way to measure the distance of a run based on the metrics we collect. -
Alan Grose John, I didn't adjust today's run which also as a difference between the two, however this time the right side has a higher mileage.
Will it help the calibration on future runs if I set the actual distance on the portal?
Thanks!
