Just downloaded the android app and I am having trouble with it not being able to locate device. The runscribe is blinking blue and it states it is an available device when I open my bluetooth settings but it can not pair with it. Any advice?

Alan Grose Hi Elliot,
Have you tried adding the runScribe through the app? It can't be added through the device bluetooth setting.
This is an IOS screen, but I believe the Android app would look similar. Select "Add Device" and it should find your runScribe.

Elliot Tilden I first tried adding it through the app and it says the device is not found (I ordered two runscribes and I have tried on both of them). I then went to the bluetooth setting on my phone just to make sure that they were being found and they are listed as available there. I have taken the batteries out and put them back in and restarted my phone.

Alan Grose Sorry, I'm not an Android guy, except for a stint with Google Glass. Hopefully the reset will work for you.

Shane Pearson I've been having a similar problem - Every time it has happened I've needed to restart my phone. Hope it worked for you.

Elliot Tilden Turning the phone on and off twice did the trick and now it recognizes the runscribe. The next problem is that now my runscribe works but my wife's runscribe never records her runs. It stays as flashing blue (never flashes orange) while she runs and then when we get home there is nothing to upload. Any suggestions?

Alan Grose The first thing I would try on your wife's rS is to replace the battery with a fresh one.
If you shake it vigorously or tap it a few times with your finger, does it blink red? That would indicate that it's recording.
If not, you could email support@runscribe.com
